By audition, our company is made up of dancers at the highest skill level across all ages. The company trains, performs and competes throughout the year
We offer multiple options for Company at K&D south. Each have different requirements and commitment levels.
Competition Teams
Our competition team is for ages 7-18, and they perform and compete throughout the season as well as attend conventions. We recommend that dancers take at least one year of ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and technique before auditioning for the competition team. Dancers who have not had this training are recommended to audition for the performance or prep team.
COMPETITION TEAM AUDITIONS & INTENSIVES
All competition team members are required to do one intensive over the summer as well as one week of additional training.
Auditions:
June 3rd
3:30-5:30 -ages 7-12
5:30-6:30 parent/student info meeting
6:30-8:30 - ages 13-18
Performance Teams
Our performance team is for ages 6-12 for dancers who would like multiple opportunities to perform and compete throughout the season. They will have 4-5 performances per year at local venues and participate in 1 competition. These dancers are encouraged, but not required to take PREP level classes.
PERFORMANCE TEAM AUDITIONS
Performance team members are encouraged, but not required to do summer training.

Prep Teams
Our prep team is for ages 7-18 for dancers who would like multiple opportunities to perform and compete throughout the season. They will have 4-5 performances per year at local venues and participate in 2 competitions as well as one convention. These dancers are required to take PREP level classes.
PREP TEAM AUDITIONS
All prep team members are required to take one week of summer training of their choice.
