Drop Off & Pickup Procedures
Please enter the studio parking lot from Henderson, and use the parking spots that face our front door if you want to walk your child in or out. If you choose not to park, please do not block the parking spots or get out of your car when dropping off or picking up, and do not create a car line. The paved parking lot behind the studio designated for Moon's & Sharkey's is not for the studio's use as well as the lot to right of the alley, so please be aware that you might be towed if you park there.
Due to the limited parking, so we encourage everyone to drop off and take advantage of our live streaming service which is included in your tuition fees. The studio blinds will be kept closed for most classes to ensure that our dancers have the best opportunity to get the most out of their classes and avoid the distraction of a busy lobby.
Waiver of Liability
I understand and agree that in participating in any dance class (virtual or in-studio), workshop, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury. I agree to release and hold harmless Karl & DiMarco south, including its teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future. I will not hold K&D south liable for any personal injury or any personal property damage, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes. I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights.
General Policies
Please do not leave any children unattended in the studio.
No running or screaming in the lobby or studio.
Please notify the studio if you will be late picking up your dancer.
If you must pick your dancer up early from class, please tell the instructor before class, and the instructor will dismiss the dancer from class. Please do not enter the class.
Inclement Weather: K&D will cancel classes when the school board chooses to close due to inclement weather.
Class Rules
Dancers should arrive five minutes before scheduled class time and be picked up promptly after class.
Each student is encouraged to make up missed classes in another class of the same level. Private lessons scheduled for missed classes will be charged at the private's rate.
Students should come into class fully prepared with their hair properly secured and dance shoes on. Bags, food & devices should be left in the student locker room.
All students must follow the K&D dress code policy.
There will be no food or gum permitted inside the studios. Food must be kept in the lobby and/or locker room only. Water ONLY inside the dance studios!
Students should keep talking to a minimum in class.
Teachers reserve the right to dismiss any student from class who continuously disrupts.
A parent/teacher conference must take place before a “dismissed student” may return to class.
Under NO circumstance should a parent walk into a dance classroom before, during or after a dance class.
Registration
Registration is accepted on a first come first serve basis. A non-refundable fee of $35 per student is required yearly at the time of registration. Each additional student is $30 with a $85 max/family. Classes will be closed to further enrollment once maximum capacity has been reached.
Tuition
Tuitions and fees will be on automatic debit. Fees will be due in full at the time of service and/or due date. This is reflected as “Autopay” in the billing section of your parent portal. Fees will be posted in advance, and you can view all of your account information in your portal. You may pay with an alternate method other than the credit card on file before the 1st of each month.
Tuition is due on the first of each month. It will be considered late after the 5th and a $15.00 late fee will be automatically added.
There will be no prorating or refunds given due to missed classes.
Karl & DiMarco south accepts payments by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), cash and check.
Tuition will be charged to your credit card on the 1st day of each month from Sept-June. All charges will appear on your credit card statement as being from Karl & DiMarco south.
All credits must be used within the season they are issued and cannot be rolled over to another season.
Summer Tuition: There is a $25 registration fee this summer for camps, intensives and workshops enrolled in before May 1st. That fee will be deducted from the total when the fees are processed on May 1st. All camps, intensives and workshops that are registered after that date will pay the full fee without a registration fee, and those fees can only be transferred to another summer program after May 1st, not refunded. Summer tuition is non-refundable after May 1st.
Withdrawals and Refunds
To drop a class, we need to be notified BEFORE the fees have been processed. Please do so, in order to not be charged for the upcoming month's tuition.
All automatic credit card charges will stop after the withdrawal date.
Monthly tuition is non-refundable once it has been processed on the 1st of the month.
Private Lessons
Private lessons must be canceled 24 hours prior to the lesson.
Lessons that are missed or canceled within 24 hours will be charged the full fee.
Recital Fees
To help defray the cost of recital expenses such as the theater rental, technicians, special effects, props, sets, etc, a recital fee of $65 ($120/family) is due and will be charged to your account on January 15th. Recital fees are non-refundable.
Costume Fees are due December 1st. There are no refunds on costumes.
There will be a $15 fee for exchanged costumes and costumes ordered after January 1st.
All families are required to purchase a minimum of 5 tickets/family.
Recital Costumes:
Combo, Transition & Level I $80/costume
Level II-Teen $85/costume
Hip Hop Classes $20 (additional for shoes)
Schedule Changes
Changes to your child’s class schedule can be made up until December 1st.
February 1st is the last day for new students to register in time to be in the recital. Alternatively, students may register at any time and not be in the recital.
Substitutions
The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be offered a make-up class.
Missed Lessons and Make-Up Lessons
No refunds or prorated tuition are given for missed classes. Students are encouraged to make up classes that are missed!
Canceled Classes
Classes with less than ten students may be canceled, combined, or rescheduled at K&D south’s discretion.
Parent Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all school activities, such as recitals, extra classes and dates the school is open or closed. The school will post all such notices as well as send information via email.
It is the responsibility of the parents or adult students to inform the school of any address, telephone, or email address change.
Parents are responsible for siblings or other children in their care while in the studio lobby.
K&D south staff is not responsible for the care or discipline of children that are not registered students and/or visitors.
Care of Students
The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for the students. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time before or after classes. Please be prompt when picking up your child.
Safety
All young dancers must be escorted to and from the building.
If a health condition exists which will prevent full participation, please notify K&D south in writing as soon as possible, this includes allergies.
Please notify K&D south if your child will be allowed to leave the studio with anyone other than a parent/guardian.
Business Matters

Media Release
Karl & DiMarco south LLC is hereby granted permission to take photographs and videos of the students to use in social media, brochures, websites, posters, advertisements and other promotional and educational materials. I understand that I do not have any rights to these photographs/videos and will not be compensated for the same.
